Digital Services

In these extraordinary times, Dementia Carers Count was forced to quickly rethink how we could support carers during the lockdown and beyond. With your support we can continue to deliver these services to support dementia carers across the UK. This year we are looking to raise £30,000 through the Every Small Step event to continue to deliver these digital services in the coming year.

We’re dedicated to family members and friends who are caring for someone with dementia

Our team of health and care professionals has created a range of online services so that we can continue to support family members and friends caring for
someone with dementia, regardless of public health restrictions. These include

Live Online Learning sessions

Our online webinars are designed and delivered by expert professionals and cover a wide range of topics. Each session runs for between 1 and 1.5 hours, and groups are kept small to allow you the opportunity to connect with others, ask questions, and relate the information to your own circumstances. We keep these sessions very informal and encourage you to bring a cup of tea and relax.

The following are quotes from recent Live Online Learning participants:

“Fantastic, very informative clear info for anyone wanting to learn more about dementia.”

“Amazing, so many things have fallen into place and now enables me to make sense of mum's behaviour. Thank you for this.”

“Brilliant bite-sized information, pitched at a perfect, non-patronising level.”

“Very informative and a lovely and relaxed atmosphere where you don’t feel afraid to speak.”

Our Virtual Carers Centre

Dementia Carers Count are continuing to enhance the virtual carers centre and have created a reliable, stable, and versatile virtual and interactive platform that now hosts all our digital offerings including multiple live learning and coaching offers, a community forum, and rooms/portals containing pre-recorded audio and visual resources. Carers are now able to access guidance and support from health and care professionals and listen to stories of family dementia carers at a time and place to suit them. This is continuing to grow and now contains a wide range of videos, audio recordings and articles. Here, you can access guidance and support from health
and care professionals and listen to the stories of family dementia carers.
