London Marathon for The Seafarers' Charity

The Seafarers' Charity London Marathon 2026

I'm fundraising for...

In April I will be running the London Marathon for the Seafarers Charity. This is my first marathon and I’ve chosen to run for a great cause, with 3 generations of seafarers behind me, I know from their stories and lived experienced just how important seafarers are to our country and the sacrifice they make on our behalf.

I'm doing all this to raise vital funds to support The Seafarers’ Charity – helping those who work at sea and their families. In 2024, the charity awarded £2.6 million in grants to help seafarers, fishers, and their families with everything from welfare casework and emergency helplines to trauma counselling. Seafarers and fishermen work hard, often isolated at sea for months, facing tough conditions. Many still experience harassment, mental health struggles, or even abandonment by their employers.

For over 150 years they have supported seafarers globally with practical help, welfare and a sense of connection; especially when people really need someone in their corner.

£10 - Provide transport for a seafarer to their nearest city.
£35 - Providing emergency supplies for a standard ship's crew.
£65 - Support technology to connect seafarers with their loved ones.

So, if you’re able, it would be amazing if you could support me with a donation of any size, by supporting my London Marathon today, the Seafarers can support more people tomorrow.

Thank you
