London Marathon for The Seafarers' Charity

Until recent years, shipping and global trade were  a silent industry to me, which now feels somewhat ridiculous... many things you've used today have travelled by sea. The coffee in your cup, your water bottle, your phone… probably even half the stuff around you.

Since joining Sedna, my eyes have been opened to the industry, and more importantly, to the 1.89m people working at sea to keep everything moving.

Seafarers spend huge amounts of time away from home - missing many family milestones - living a totally different way of life, while facing real risk and uncertainty.

That’s why I’m proud to be running the London Marathon for The Seafarer's Charity!

For over 150 years they have supported seafarers globally with practical help, welfare and a sense of connection; especially when people really need someone in their corner.

£10 - Provide transport for a seafarer to their nearest city.
£35 - Providing emergency supplies for a standard ship's crew.
£65 - Support technology to connect seafarers with their loved ones.
