I'm running the London Marathon on the 26th April 2026.
Until recent years, shipping and global trade were a silent industry to me, which now feels somewhat ridiculous... many things you've used today have travelled by sea. The coffee in your cup, your water bottle, your phone… probably even half the stuff around you.
Since joining Sedna, my eyes have been opened to the industry, and more importantly, to the 1.89m people working at sea to keep everything moving. That’s why I’m proud to be running the London Marathon for The Seafarer's Charity!
The charity has over 200+ ports in 50 countries, operating day and night, 365 days a year for men and women who spend up to nine months at sea, far from families, friends and loved ones.
For over 150 years they have supported seafarers globally with practical help, welfare and a sense of connection; especially when people really need someone in their corner.
£10 - Provide transport for a seafarer to their nearest city.
£35 - Providing emergency supplies for a standard ship's crew.
£65 - Support technology to connect seafarers with their loved ones.
