Start of Feb Update
Monday 9th Feb Hi Everyone, thank you to everyone who has donated so far 🤩 - nearly at my £500 target by middle/towards the end of this month - which I need to raise in order for me to qualify into the London marathon through my charity place 🤩 (charity requirements) / training still underway - just under 3 months to go now - very excited!!! excited to be running for this charity & to raise awareness - any donations at all are greatly appreciated thank you! 🤩 Share

Since we are in January now I thought it would be a good time to start my fundraising push for the London marathon which I will be taking part in on Sunday 26th April 2026. I am raising funds for The Seafarers Charity who support people who currently work at Sea or have worked at sea, as well as supporting the families.

Although my target is to try and reach £2,250, I need to raise a minimum of £500 by March to officially secure my running spot or I won’t be able to take part in the run. (Charity place requirements…).
I am currently working my way through a 17 Week Marathon Training Plan. I’ve not done a great deal of long distance running since my last marathon in Manchester last April, which was amazing!!! so this time it’s been a total reset for me as I build up again to marathon level fitness… fun and games that’s all I’m saying. No Pain No Gain!
I am super excited for the marathon and being able to get a charity place for London has been a dream as I have tried for several years with no luck! I’m glad 2026 will finally be the year - A bucket list moment and I can’t wait!!! 😁
Any donation will be greatly appreciated if you are able to donate big or small!
Running for charity is not something I have done before, however it spurs me on knowing I am doing this for a good cause. The training is the hardest part believe it or not… so roll on marathon day!
