London Marathon for The Seafarers' Charity

The Seafarers' Charity London Marathon 2027

My Updates

Update 09/08/2026

Sunday 9th Aug
Hi everyone!

As you may have seen me post recently, I will be running the London Marathon next year for the Seafarers’ Charity!

The build-up is officially underway with the Paisley 10k next week and a half marathon coming up shortly. Balancing marathon prep alongside a full season of rugby as a forward isn't going to be easy, but I’m ready for the challenge!

To make it to the starting line, I need to hit a minimum fundraising target. If you can spare anything at all to support, it would mean the absolute world to me! 🏃🏻‍♀️

My why….

Saturday 4th Jul

I am ticking something off my bucket list that I have always wanted to do by running the London Marathon to raise funds for The Seafarers Charity. Having worked at sea myself and coming from a family of seafarers, this cause is incredibly close to my heart.

Merchant seafarers and their families face unique and often invisible challenges, and this charity serves as an essential safety net. They provide everything from emergency repatriation and financial aid to crucial mental health support, and they have been there for seafarers when it mattered most.

The charity has been doing amazing work… now helping over 650,000 seafarers and their families globally every single year and putting over £2.6 million annually into welfare services and crisis support.

One part of their work that is especially important to me is the backing they put into ‘Safer Waves’. It is a brilliant service that provides dedicated emotional support and guidance to tackle gender discrimination and harassment at sea. It is all about making the working environment safer and more inclusive for everyone on board, which is something the industry desperately needs. As a woman within this industry, this is incredibly important to me, as it should be with everyone.

Every single donation goes directly towards supporting the unsung heroes of the maritime community. Thank you so much for backing me on this massive journey!
