London Marathon 2026
I'm so lucky to be running the London Marathon on the 26th April!!!
I'm doing this to raise vital funds to support The Seafarers’ Charity – helping those who work at sea and their families. When you stop and think about it, the modern world and globalism means goods and resources are continuously moving round the world to give us what we need, when we need it. But how do we transport all this stuff? Generally by sea. And who makes that happen? Seafarers.
It can be a tough life and by it's very nature it requires seafarers to travel great distances, be away from family and friends, often missing key events or being absent while love ones have to deal with whatever life throws at them. That's where the real work of the Seafarers Charity comes in.
I'm doing this through work at Calmac and as most of you will know I work at sea so this really resonates with me. I'm lucky that Calmac offer such amazing support and I'm not actually very far from home, but others are not so fortunate. That is why I'm asking for your support to help these anonymous people who help our lives tick over.
