Hi, thank you for visiting my page! My name is Katie, and I am delighted to fundraise for The Seafarers’ Charity. The Seafarers’ Charity supports the welfare, safety, and financial security of seafarers of all shapes and sizes, here and abroad.
What I love about the Seafarers’ Charity is the breadth; the charity provides grants towards many smaller causes for seafarers, all selected based off need. The Seafarers’ Charity supports women-centric sailor projects, like Safer Waves and Salute Her UK, which offer support to sailors who experience sexual assault while at sea.
I’m a boat captain myself, logging over 5000 nautical miles across the Atlantic Ocean, in the Mediterranean, and in the Caribbean.
Any donation, no matter the size, makes a huge impact to these communities.
