London Marathon for The Seafarers' Charity

The Seafarers' Charity London Marathon 2027

Running 26.2 miles for the people who keep the world moving

On 25th April 2027, I'll be running the London Marathon to raise vital funds for The Seafarers' Charity — helping those who work at sea and their families.

At 56, this feels hugely out of my comfort zone, but it's been on my bucket list for a while, and it feels far more manageable doing months of mental prep and training knowing it's for a cause that genuinely matters.

Having worked most of my career in maritime, and now focusing on women's health and workplace wellbeing, I know how much the people in this industry give — and how little support often exists when they need it most. People spend months at sea, far from home, with limited healthcare access and historically little infrastructure around them.

The Seafarers' Charity is changing that — funding everything from mental health services and crisis support to Safer Waves, a dedicated service tackling harassment and gender discrimination at sea.

Health and wellbeing at sea isn't a nice-to-have. It's a safety issue. It's how this industry retains the people it depends on.

Every donation goes directly to that work. Thank you for backing me on this one.
