Welcome to our virtual annual event. This year, we're celebrating the lives and contributions of the dementia carer community.

Together, we will take small steps to support the brilliant work of friends and family caring for those with dementia across the country. Every day, we'll share an episode from a series of talks from public figures through to young carers, we want to share the stories of some of the incredible people caring for those with dementia. Walk with us and listen to their stories.

There are 700,000 people in the UK who are caring for a friend or family member with dementia. We invite you to take your own small steps and walk with us, as we take a step for every family dementia carer.

FAQs

Is it safe to take part in Every Small Step during the current COVID-19 outbreak?

Whenever you take part in any event it is important to look after yourself. Please ensure you follow all government advice and look after your own safety as well as the safety of those you come into contact with. Under the current restrictions it is still possible to take part in Every Small Step.

Your steps can be completed alone or with small groups, you can also log steps around your house and if you are lucky enough to have one, garden. You have five days to log your steps but please remember to make sure you follow social distancing rules at all times.

We wish we had a crystal ball to know what the situation will be in October but please always follow current government advice, keep an eye in your inbox or on our Every Small Step Facebook group for advice and updates, follow social distancing and stay safe.
