Welcome to our virtual annual conference. This year, we're celebrating the lives and contributions of the dementia carer community.
Together, we will take small steps to support the brilliant work of friends and family caring for those with dementia across the country. Every day, we'll share an episode from a series of talks from public figures through to young carers, we want to share the stories of some of the incredible people caring for those with dementia. Walk with us and listen to their stories.
There are 700,000 people in the UK who are caring for a friend or family member with dementia. We invite you to take your own small steps and walk with us, as we take a step for every family dementia carer.
This event is now over but we want to say an enormous thank you to everyone who took part, to all those who spoke in our podcasts and to the whole team who helped to bring the project to life. Collectively, we walked nearly 2 million steps for every family carer in the UK and heard directly from carers at different stages of their caring journeys. We wanted to highlight how we walk together on this journey, and the experience has exceeded all of our expectations. This was a conference unlike any other we have organised or attended and we hope that you enjoyed being part of it. Keep in touch.
Your page will remain open until the 6th November and the podcasts are still available to listen to on your supporter page, please do contact us if you have any queries or questions on events@dementiacarers.org.uk
