Run2Paris 2024

Is this just an excuse for more running?

That is probably what people that know me will think. Running from London to Paris in four days? Yes please! Probably sounds worse than it really is, this is a relay with a team of 5, so more like 4 half marathons in 4 days (but with the complication of camping each night, so no proper rest I suppose in-between).

But seriously, me and the team are fundraising for two really important causes, Parkinson's UK and SSAFA, and we really do appreciate your support.

It is all happening in May 24, but you might as well donate now before you forget (not that I'll let you do that). And do not worry about the goal amount, feel free to donate more, it is all going to the charities.

My Updates

Tapering (not for this one!)

I am at the best part of my training - tapering! But not for the Paris run, I have my 20th marathon in April! And after that I suppose I will be tapering for Paris...
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, one of my team members feels a bit competitive and thanks to you I am winning at the moment:-) But don't let that stop you everyone else, your donations are still needed, I don't get a penny, it all goes to the charities!

What about fundraising?

Haven't really annoyed people yet, so I need to start now or I will never raise any money!

I have been training though - I did my 17th full marathon in November, my 18th in December, and 19th in February, and will be going for no 20 in April! If you include halfs and some 10k ones, that will be 94 races so far. Will I make the 100-club, 100 marathons? I suppose I left it a bit late taking up running in my 40s, but never say never...

Thank you to my Sponsors
