The Seafarers' Charity

Run2Events have been working with The Seafarers' Charity since 2021 and are now responsible for delivering the Fundraising Events portfolio for the organisation.

In 2021 The Seafarers' Charity were looking for a new logistics partner to deliver their flagship fundraising event The 24 Peaks Challenge. One of the toughest events we have ever come across in decades of event fundraising this was not an event we took on lightly. Extensive reccee's, risk assessments and planning meetings were put in place to ensure that we could deliver this event safely, ensure a brilliant participant experience and deliver a strong fundraising return. After a successful first year and with the Charity struggling with limited internal resources and recruitment Run2Events became the outsourced Fundraising Events Team. We provided capacity, expertise and passion for the cause at a fixed monthly fee without the overheads and associated costs of internal headcount.

In 2024, Run2Events provided comprehensive event management services for The Seafarers' Charity's events programme. Our support encompassed participant recruitment, onboarding, and stewardship for both The London Marathon and The 24 Peaks Challenge, drawing participants from across the maritime community and beyond.

To streamline project management and ensure seamless coordination, we developed robust project boards. These centralised platforms enabled both teams to monitor progress, coordinate leads, and track fundraising and logistical updates for each event.

The Run2Events team delivered a number of presentations to potential and existing corporate clients to encourage engagement in the activity and delivered exceptional supporter journeys, on behalf of the Charity, to those who registered.

On event day, our team delivered impeccable on-the-ground logistics, collaborating closely with charity volunteers, staff, and Trustees to create an exceptional experience for both participants and key stakeholders.

Through our successful partnership, The Seafarers' Charity raised over £200,000 in 2024. We are excited to continue our collaboration and support the charity in surpassing this fundraising goal in 2025.
