I'm fundraising for...
...the Blister Sisters!
Hi! I'm SO happy you're here. The Blister Sisters & I are super
excited for this route; Run2Paris has us motivated to keep up with our
training and we're all looking forward to spending 4 days solidly doing
the sport we are so passionate about.
I
started running longer and longer distances during the Covid lockdowns
in London, despite the fact I couldn't stray over a mile from my flat. I
lived near a running track and spent my evenings running two miles,
with a long break in between. Then I started adding laps to each half,
and the break got smaller and smaller. When we were allowed, I started
running on the canal, simply going out half as far as I could manage and
turning back, eventually pushing the midpoint of my run further and
further out.
With Mikaela, I got into trail
running, and we've seen some amazing scenery (and pubs) as we ventured
further outside of London. Running has gotten me to the healthiest state
I've ever been in, improved my focus on my emotional well-being, and
shown me so much of the incredible city and surrounding countryside that
I never would have otherwise seen.
By
supporting us, you also support two excellent charities: Parkinson's UK,
which funds research and patient + family support, and SSAFA, which
supports individual veteran + family with physical and emotional care
after completing service. Both charities are nationally accredited and
