Run2Paris have allocated Parkinson's UK as the lead charity for the event. Fundraising will help benefit research and support to this far reaching and debilitating disease. They also provide research towards closely related diseases such as Lewy Body Dementia, a disease that severely debilitated my Nain (grandma), Myra at the end of her life. 

However, last October my partner Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer aged just 32. The last 6 months have been particularly draining both physically and mentally as she negotiates intensive chemotherapy. It has been life changing for us both, as we put all other plans on hold. I would also like to donate towards Breast Cancer Now (www.breastcancernow.org), a cancer charity that provides free support and resources for women and their families during cancer treatment and beyond. They also provide vital funds for research into the prevention, early detection, and treatment of breast cancer.
